Outstanding pair of collectible chalkware figurines by Alexander Backer Company.
They are handmade and well-crafted products, whose production is done with a considerable amount of effort and care. Evidence of this is found in the finish which gives a textured look to the children and their clothes that bring them to life. I believe they are from the 1920’s – the girl is very heavy and in excellent condition, the boy is lighter weight and is great condition except for a few nicks on his back.
